May 2019 – Nov 2020Developer & tech leadBerlin, Germany
A long-running engagement on Germany's first complete platform for end-to-end digital car purchases, backed by Volkswagen Financial Services and Daimler Mobility.
I started as a front-end developer on the core marketplace and grew into a technical leadership role: owning architecture decisions, reviewing code and mentoring, and driving front-end standards across teams. The codebase was server-side-rendered React at scale, where performance, SEO and conversion were first-class concerns supported by A/B testing and feature flags. In late 2020 I moved onto the new direct-to-consumer stream to help launch online car sales.
